Injection mold
manufacturing

At PAWFORM, we manage and supervise projects in which the injection mold is the key element — from technical assumptions and tool design, to trials and production launch. We ensure consistency: part – mold – process, so that the tool operates stably and product quality is repeatable from the first production runs.

Areas in which
we support clients

At every stage, we focus on full transparency, providing visibility into the project and ongoing monitoring of its progress. We meet agreed deadlines.
PRODUCT GEOMETRY OPTIMIZATION

We evaluate the part design in terms of injection mold construction and quality risks related to the injection process. We analyze product geometry for potential defects resulting from uneven wall thickness, shrinkage distribution, bottlenecks, weld lines, and gate location. We use Moldex3D rheological analysis to assess cavity filling behavior, temperature distribution across the part cross-section, and thermally loaded areas that require attention when designing the mold cooling system.

DEFINITION OF PART FORMING METHOD

We define how the part will be formed in the cavity: draft directions, parting line, critical surfaces, and necessary functional elements of the mold. At this stage, we also define assumptions for sliders, ejectors, and cores. A well-developed concept reduces the risk of costly modifications at later stages of tool manufacturing.

INJECTION MOLD DESIGN

We develop the mold design in accordance with the adopted design and technological assumptions. We verify the correctness of functional systems to ensure stable tool operation, required part quality, and the intended cycle time. This is the stage where we translate the design into a solution ready for manufacturing.

FULL INJECTION MOLDING SIMULATIONS

We perform Moldex3D simulations to validate the adopted design and technological assumptions. We analyze cavity filling behavior, the cooling system, cycle time, and risks of deformation and part defects. This allows us to identify areas requiring correction before tool manufacturing and reduce the risk of costly changes after trials.

COOPERATION WITH SURFACE FINISHING SERVICE PROVIDERS

For visual parts, we define surface finishing requirements with contractors, including the structure of forming elements and final part quality. We determine steel selection for forming components, texturing boundaries, and surfaces intended for texture application. We also verify the part’s readiness for texturing to ensure a consistent visual effect and reduce the risk of issues during manufacturing and subsequent production.

SUPERVISION OF THE INJECTION MOLD MANUFACTURING PROCESS

We monitor the progress of tool manufacturing and coordinate subsequent stages of project execution. We create the work schedule, supervise compliance with the assumptions, and ensure timely execution of mold trials. This stage ensures process transparency and ongoing control of progress.

TRIALS, VALIDATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INJECTION MOLD INTO PRODUCTION

We coordinate mold trials, part evaluation, and necessary corrections to the tool and process. We support the client during validation, production launch, and selection of optimal injection parameters. The goal is stable implementation of the tool into serial production and confirmation of final part quality.

Engineering
knowledge and necessary resources

We have the resources and team that enable us to carry out tooling projects in a structured and predictable way. We combine engineering experience with process analysis to reduce quality risks and shorten implementation time. The client receives a clear action plan, ongoing progress updates, and recommendations based on data rather than assumptions.
