FEA analysis (ANSYS)

We verify the strength and stiffness of components and support design decisions in projects involving plastic parts and tooling. We work in the ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise environment.

Areas in which
we support clients

FEA analysis allows evaluation of component behavior under operating conditions and indicates directions for design optimization. Depending on the project, we carry out, among others:

Optimization of plastic products

Optimization of strength and stiffness of plastic components.

Glass fiber-reinforced products

Assessment of strength and the impact of predicted fiber orientation on part behavior.

WEIGHT REDUCTION

We assess the strength of load-bearing and structural components in terms of weight reduction potential. We analyze load distribution, stiffness, and design margins to reduce product weight without compromising its function and required performance.

METAL-TO-PLASTIC CONVERSION

We verify the possibility of replacing a metal component with a plastic part while maintaining the required strength parameters. We analyze the impact of this change on product weight, production costs, and feasibility in injection molding technology. This approach enables a lighter and more cost-effective product without compromising its functional performance.

MECHANICAL ASSESSMENT OF INJECTION MOLD STRUCTURE

We verify the strength of injection molds by combining injection simulation results with FEA calculations. We analyze the impact of injection pressure distribution on deformations of forming components and evaluate their behavior under load. This allows us to reduce the risk of design errors and operational issues already at the design stage.

METAL STRUCTURES AND PRODUCTS

We perform standard FEA analyses of structures and metal components. We assess their strength, stiffness, and behavior under load, supporting the design process at the stage of selecting structural solutions and verifying the correctness of adopted assumptions.

Process data integration

In plastic projects, we can use data from Moldex3D simulations — including export of part structure and information on mechanical properties resulting from assumed process conditions — to ensure that calculations are consistent with the actual behavior of the part after injection molding.

What you receive

Calculation results and clear conclusions: where there is margin, where there is risk, and which design/technological changes have the greatest impact on the outcome. In projects where justified, we combine FEA analysis with process simulation data.
